Maureen Sharp, and her company Sharp Design, specialize in designing and constructing exceptional albums, books, and boxes: fine art with a purpose. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA), she has worked as a bookbinder for over 15 years. After living in Chicago for 12 years, she moved back to her hometown in 1990.

In addition to one-of-a-kind commissions for individuals, she has had wide experience in the conservation and rebinding of antiquarian volumes, as well as corporate commissions, prototypes and presentation packaging for graphic designers and advertising agencies, the design production and marketing of an exclusive line of journals and albums, and creating original artist's books.

Each commission is numbered, dated, and signed in pencil. The work is both useful and beautiful, and has been sold in gift shops and exhibited in the galleries listed below:
