The Baby Questions Book

This book will be a treasured heirloom for your child, and starts with a blank page where you can include a copy of the first referral photo you saw of your child, and an entry that details the value and importance of information that they can give you regarding your child and his or her curiosity and wellbeing in the future. This book has 70 questions, in English, for your new child's nanny or caregiver to fill out in order to retain important facts, and equally, those less so, as it is these seemingly unimportant facts that may be no less valuable to your child in the years to come. The questions deal with how the child came to be available for adoption, his or her medical history, routine at the orphanage or transition home, likes and dislikes, your child's 'firsts' they may have witnessed, and has a page with space for the birthmother/birth family to write something special and also include some photos and a page spread for comments and photos from a special nanny at the orphanage or transition home as well. There are four grammatically correct versions of the book: Couple adopting a Girl, Couple adopting a Boy, Single adopting a Girl, and Single adopting a Boy. Please let me know which one is the correct version for your family when you order.

The pages are sewn through the fold for flexibility and durability and the 8 1/2" x 7" book will open flat, so it is easy to write in. With the hard cover, it is easy to write anywhere so you can make the best use of your time on a bus or train. The cover material is strong and attractive dark green imitation leather, and the front cover is decorated with the heart-like Sankofa, stamped in gold, which symbolizes "one taking from the past what is good, and bringing it into the present in order to make positive progress through the benevolent use of knowledge".

A deluxe version of the book is also available, and features a beautiful geometric black and ivory "Drums of Africa" print fabric, with endsheets hand stamped with Sankofas and attractive geometric 'Tribal Circles' in red, green and yellow, the colors of the Ethiopian flag. To make it even more special, there are two satin ribbon bookmarks, with pretty bone and glass beads at the ends.

Each book is made as the order is placed, so please allow at least three weeks for the completion of your order, not counting the shipping time.
